Terms and Conditions

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and consented to these Terms.

To access the Service, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to notify us immediately at legal@transcriptr.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Submit Instagram URLs for content you do not have the right to transcribe
• Use the Service to transcribe content that infringes any third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits through multiple accounts or automated means
• Use the Service to generate transcripts of content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates Instagram's Terms of Service
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or use automated bots against the Service
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission

Transcriptr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. in any way.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to transcribe any content you submit. This includes obtaining permission from the original content creator where required by applicable copyright law.

We do not host, store, or redistribute Instagram videos. We process audio transiently for the purpose of transcription only and delete it immediately after.

Your transcripts: You retain full ownership of the text transcripts generated from your content. We do not claim any rights over your transcript output.

Our Service: All software, design, branding, and content of the Transcriptr Service is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice, for maintenance, legal compliance, or other reasons.

For paid subscribers, if we permanently discontinue the Service, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that transcripts will be 100% accurate. Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, background noise, accents, and other factors outside our control. Always review transcripts before relying on them for professional or legal purposes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TRANSCRIPTR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 USD.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Transcriptr and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at legal@transcriptr.app. If informal resolution fails within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
